Dr Kuipa is currently the ZFU Operations Director. He is an Agricultural Economist with a PhD in Sustainable Agriculture (University of the Free State (UFS)) an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture (UFS), a BSc Honours in Agricultural Economics (University of Zimbabwe) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (University of Zimbabwe). He started his career as an agricultural teacher in 1990. From 2001 to 2008, he worked for the Ministry of Lands and Agriculture as a Lands Officer and then as Principal Agricultural Economist, responsible for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of national agriculture projects/programs.

He was also responsible for policy planning implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. From 2009 to 2021, he worked for the Zimbabwe Farmers Union as the Chief Economist heading the Economics and Commodities department. He was in charge of policy research, analysis, advice, lobbying, and communications. advocacy. With a career spanning over 30 years in the Public and Private sectors, Dr Kuipa has gained vast experience in forging national and regional level partnerships building and managing stakeholder relations, strategy development, project development, budgeting, resource mobilisation, project/program management  grant management, monitoring and evaluation, research and training, team building, policy research, analysis, advisory, lobby and advocacy, principled negotiations, climate change, and farmer organisation.

Dr. Kuipa has contributed to the Agricultural Economics body of knowledge through publications and conference presentations and has supervised Postgraduate Research in Sustainable Agriculture.
