Hello everyone my name is Rosemary Madzivo I am an A1 farmer. I do maize, groundnuts, sunflowers, and sweet potatoes. As for horticulture, I specialize in brassicas. l also rear livestock such as roadrunners, ducks, turkeys, and for big livestock I rear beef cattle, and goats.
I was inspired by my late uncle who was an Agritex officer. I liked everything he did so that made me want to venture into agriculture.
From my farming enterprises, l am now food secure at household level. I have managed to send my children to school. My financial status is now sound that at times I pay school fees for my extended family members.
My advice to aspiring farmers is that patience pays, start small and you will grow. Networking is key.
